A friendly yet working relationship
Every child in our care is treated as an individual and it is our aim to provide them with a secure and welcoming home from home. To do so requires that we have an open and friendly relationship with you the parent and that there is good communication between us.

Policies which underpin the practices in our settings include:
Equal opportunities
Integration
Behaviour management
Recording your child's development
Development Folder
Your child is assigned a Development Folder and it is the responsibility of your keyworker to ensure that it is up to date and records your child's
development on a regular basis. This is achieved through planned assessments during meal times or outdoor play, for instance, or on an instant basis
when a new skill is observed. Your child's Development Folder will contain written reports (which will relate to the Government's Stepping Stones Guidelines),
examples of work and photographs of your child performing tasks and joining in activities. Your child's Development Folder is available for inspection
whenever you visit the nursery.

Parent Meetings
Whilst meetings with your keyworker (and other members of the nursery team) will occur informally on a regular basis, we normally arrange a more formal
meeting, twice a year, when your child's stage of development can be assessed and future plans can be discussed.
