Every activity that takes place in a Child Base nursery follows a programme known as SOUND Foundations.
The acronym SOUND stands for:
Seek a child's centre of focus.
Observe if, and in what way, the child would like us to become involved.
Understand the child's stage of development.
Nurture the child's interest by showing that we share it.
Decide how to interact with the child to develop further his or her interest and abilities.
SOUND Foundations is a child-focused approach which respects each child as an individual and aims to build their confidence, self-esteem and independence by following their lines of interest.
