Educating the Children
We will encourage the children in our nurseries to understand about environmental issues to give a grounding for future good citizenship.
Energy Usage
Child Base will buy their electricity supplies from an ethically green supplier.
We will aim to reduce the amount of energy that we use through heating lighting, washing and drying.
Water Usage
Water is one of the biggest resources used alongside energy in nursery settings.
We will use water butts in our gardens, water saving devices in toilets and push taps in our bathrooms.
Recycling Waste
We will recycle waste paper, card, plastic and glass.
We will use biodegradable disposable nappies.
We will use toilet rolls made from recycled paper.
Transport
We will encourage car sharing and travel by public transport and bicycle.
