At Child Base your child will receive the highest standards of care. This is ensured by our recruitment policy, our training and the motivation we provide to every
staff member.

An essential ingredient in that motivation is the focus on Child Base as an Employee Owned Business. For nearly ten years the company has moved from the shares being owned by a small minority (a family business) to shares being owned by everyone in the company.

At the current time all staff are eligible to join the Child Base All Employee Share Plan (CASP) each year. Under this arrangement staff receive 2 free shares for each share bought. As a further step forward free shares will also be offered to all eligible staff from 2007.

There has, for several years, been elected employee Board representatives to ensure the interests of all employees are considered as part of the company's continuing progress and development.

Currently over 50% of the shares are held by employees of the company, with the challenge for the future to make Child Base a totally employee owned business.

Child Base are members of the Employee Ownership Association (EOA).

The Employee Ownership Association is the voice of co-owned business in the UK. We are the business association for companies who are substantially or wholly owned by the people who work for them.


The Employee Ownership Association provides information and new thinking about employee ownership, along with services to its Member companies.
